A New Female-Focused ‘Star Wars’ Series Is in the Works at Disney+!

There’s a new Star Wars series coming!

A female-centered series written and showrun by Russian Doll co-creator Lesley Headland is in development at Disney+, Variety reported on Wednesday (April 22).

Deadline has confirmed the gist of the series, the plot of which is under wraps but is understood to be an female-driven action thriller with martial arts elements and set in an alternate timeline from the usual Star Wars universe. Disney declined comment on the project, which was first reported by Variety,” the report reads.

Two other Star Wars series are also in development at Disney+, including an Obi-Wan Kenobi series with Ewan McGregor and a Rogue One series with Diego Luna.
