A Place In The Sun presenter Laura Hamilton talks ‘painful’ injury as DIY move goes wrong

A Place In The Sun presenter Laura Hamilton, 37, took to her Instagram stories yesterday to reveal how she’d suffered not one but two injuries. It comes as the British public have been urged to remain indoors following the coronavirus outbreak.

The Channel 4 favourite opened up about a “gross” thumb and foot injury which has left her in pain.

In view of her 67,500 followers, Laura spoke candidly as she described her DIY disaster.

She explained: “A couple of gross things going on right now.

“My thumbnail fell off so I currently have a right thumb that looks like the right toe actually.”

Laura continued: “That’s from when I slammed or caught my thumb in the door a few months ago back in Gran Canaria when I was filming A Place In The Sun.”

She captioned the post: “I’m not going to show you my gross thumb!”

However, her problems didn’t stop there as the blonde beauty decided to give herself a pedicure which resulted in “paper cuts” on her feet.

“Also, I did this crazy thing a couple of days ago,” Laura remarked. “I used this thing on my feet called Ped Egg and I love a pedicure but obviously can’t have one right now.”

She continued: “So I did one on my own feet using a Ped Egg and went a little bit too hard.

“I have basically sliced open the backs of my feet. I’ve got these tiny little paper cuts and they’re so painful.”

Laura warned her followers to not let her DIY home blunder put them off as she still recommended the device.

“I recommend the Ped Egg but don’t go too hard,” Laura chimed.
