Amanda Holden has banned daughter Lexi, 16, from going on Love Island: Mama says no!

Amanda Holden has revealed she has decided to ban her eldest daughter Lexi Hughes from ever appearing on Love Island in the future.

The Britain's Got Talent judge, 51, made the comments after discussing how her daughter, 16, had become "obsessed" by the latest series of the ITV2 dating show.

She explained her decision saying that Lexi may have gotten ideas to be a future islander after seeing how Michael Owen's 19 year old daughter Gemma had got on since entering the villa.

Ronan Keating's son Jack, 23, has also recently joined as one of the bombshells to enter Casa Amor.

She said on Friday's Heart Radio Breakfast: "So this is becoming a bit of an obsession with my teenage daughter at home now, whose never taken one scrap of interest in Love Island and now is all over it.

"Which worries me slightly bearing in mind that Michael Owen’s daughter is on it, and I’m like, 'you ain’t ever going on it, Alexa'."

Jamie Theakston replied: "Oh, imagine that!"

"But anyways, she’s loving watching it… I can imagine it, and I’m not," Amanda said.

To which Jamie teased: "Oh please, it would be perfect for this show."

Amanda hit back: "No it wouldn’t. Mama said no. She loves me too much, she won’t do it!"

Back in March, the Mirror reported that the mum-of-two's daughter Lexi had joined modelling agency Storm Management – which is known for having represented Kate Moss, 48, for much of her career.

Even though the agency no longer has Kate on its books it still has a roster including supermodel Cindy Crawford, 56, and musician Michael Bublé, 46.

The BGT judge teased at the time she could become a 'momager'.

She told the Daily Mail that the modelling agency – often referred to simply as Storm – had been one of several who had approached her daughter.

Amanda stated that the company "came after" Lexi and described them as "very lovely and nurturing" towards her teenager.

She further commented: "It will be a soft, slow thing and [Lexi] won't do anything until she's 18 but they want her and that's what she wants to do."

Amanda said that there was "quite a number of them" who were interested in Lexi, with her adding: "She has made the decision to sign with [Storm]. Chris and I support her."
