The Country trio Dixie Chicks have indefinitely postponed the release of their eight studio album, Gaslighter.
The group joins other A-list musicians of the likes of Luke Bryan, Sam Smith, and Lady Gaga, who have delated the release of their projects by several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the unlikeliness of heading out on promotional tours.
The record was to be the group’s first new project since their 2006 album, Taking The Long Way, and was originally scheduled for release on May 1, 2020, via Columbia Records.
A new date is yet to be announced, and the singers have asked their fans to “check @DixieChicks social media for additional updates and announcements.”
