Actress Cheryl Fergison has opened up on social media about her newest hobby, roller skating, after restarting her childhood hobby.
The former EastEnders star, who played Heather Trott from 2005 until the character's death in 2012, previously left fans shocked when she unveiled her impressive weight loss at the Tatton Park Pop Up Festival at Tatton Park in Cheshire.
And sharing some off her weight loss secrets, Cheryl has been posting to Instagram, about her newest hobby, sharing some snaps and videos of herself roller skating.
Smiling outside a roller rink, she wrote: "@coastridersblackpool not been on Roller Skates since I was about 13 years old .. I wasn’t a bad skater from 7-13 but then never went again until today … the fear of falling now is real.
"But the fun and exercise is a real feel good factor and so cheap too £5 to Skate and £2 roller boot hire … blooming bargain and such family fun too."
Cheryl also joked that ITV should commission a show similar to Dancing on Ice but about roller dancing. Sharing a video of herself at the roller rink, she wrote: "NEW PITCH FOR A NEW REALITY SHOW …..
"So I’m here @coastridersblackpool roller rink with my son @alexsaddiqi NOW @itv ….you having “Dancing on ice” in the winter …why not have me present “Roller dancing” a new show for the summer ? ….
"Just saying there’s scope in Roller Skates and it’s defo a trending hobby ( Roller Disco in my times ) you saw it here first folks before someone else nicks my idea and makes the programme I should be making!!"
A few weeks after picking up her new hobby Cheryl posted a video, sharing that she was "getting better by the day."
Adding a caption, the actress wrote: "Loving this exercise @coastridersblackpool …..it’s fun , and takes me back to my Roller Disco Days in my teens … but as you get older the fear of falling is real ! ( Hence the knee pads [laughing emoji])"
Fans were quick to comment on the former soapstar's posts, with one writing: "Dancing on Ice is calling me thinks… [laughing emoji]"
"I adored rollerskating as a teen, I have skates but nowhere to go these days, guessing it would be like riding a bike, you never forget x" added another.
And a third penned: "Well done I don't think I'd even be able to stand up on Skates it's been years since I wore a pair."
Replying to the third comment, Cheryl wrote: "I thought the same but after the fear of falling ( the very real fear at 57) I realised that fear also makes you feel alive."
