Emma Bunton has revealed that she lactated on stage during the Spice Girls reunion tour.

Baby Spice, 45, performed with all four of her former bandmates for their first reunion concerts, the Return of the Spice Girls tour, in December 2007, when she leaked breast milk through her Roberto Cavalli outfit.

She was breastfeeding at the time as she had only given birth to son Beau four months earlier.

In her brand new book, Mama You Got This, Emma wrote: “I remember it happened during Say You’ll Be There – I was wearing a rose-gold dress with an empire line and a high neck, with gold lamé that was quite close-fitting over my boobs. I had to get through a whole other track, Headlines, just hoping nothing was showing.”

Luckily for Emma her partner Jade Jones, 42, was on hand to help her out.

In an extract published by the Sun, she wrote: “As it ended I came running off stage screaming at Jade, ‘Babes, get the pads! Get the pads!'”

Emma admitted she wasn’t “ready to be throwing” herself into that kind of “physically demanding regime” so soon after giving birth.

She continued: “I simply hadn’t understood the huge processes that my body would be going through after birth and, in particular, how breastfeeding would require so much energy.”

The Spice Girl claimed that if anyone had been paying attention, they would have noticed the wet patches on her gold lamé dress.

Emma and Jade are parents to Beau, 13, and Tate, ten.

Emma appeared on This Morning on Tuesday to discuss her new parenting book and excited fans all over the country as she hinted at another possible Spice Girls reunion.

In response to Phillip Schofield asking if they were planning a new Spice Girls tour, Emma said: “Not at the moment, we would love to, but it's just seeing where the world is, really.

“I was with Victoria just at the weekend and I think we would love to as the Spice Girls, it's the 25th anniversary coming up and there are a few little bits, there are plans.”

Unfortunately for fans, Emma poured cold water on claims there could be another Spice World movie, after being asked if they will film a follow up to the 1997 cult classic.

She said: “I heard David Walliams say, 'oh, I hope I'm in that one.' I would love to get him in a movie with us, but no, that is not in the plans at the moment.”
