Strictly: Giovanni claims Ranvir deserved spot in the final
Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh, 43, and Giovanni Pernice, 30, were the latest contestants to exit Strictly Come Dancing. It comes after the pair faced Jamie Laing, 32, and Karen Hauer, 38, in the BBC dance-off over the weekend.
Ranvir couldn’t hold back the tears on the Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two as she discussed her exit.
The dancing duo didn’t make it through the dreaded dance-off and were voted out of the competition.
Discussing Ranvir’s performances throughout the series, Giovanni admitted he was impressed with her progress as the weeks went on.
As the pair confirmed they will continue to dance together in the future, the ballroom professional addressed their on-screen “connection”.

“I felt when we were on the dance floor, I was very happy with all of the performance, ” Giovanni admitted.
“With a ballroom, there has to be a connection to deliver a good ballroom.
“Otherwise, if there’s no connection between your partner, you can’t feel anything.”
The Strictly professional admitted the dancing duo worked well together as he was able to lead her while dancing in the ballroom.
Giovanni went on: “If you asked Ranvir, ‘Do you know your steps?’ She’ll probably say, ‘No.’
“Because the good thing with ballroom is that she follows me and I’m able to lead.”
He added: “So the connection between us was strong and it’s still strong.
“To be honest, there has to be a connection.”
