Jana Kramer Laments How Hurtful It Is to Celebrate Thanksgiving Without Kids After Divorce

Despite lamenting being away from her kids during the holiday, the Alex Dupre depicter on ‘One Tree Hill’ gushes about ‘how grateful and thankful’ she is to be their mother.

AceShowbiz -This year’s Thanksgiving might not be the best one for Jana Kramer. Revealing that she didn’t celebrate the festivity with her two children months after finalizing her divorce from Mike Caussin, the Alex Dupre depicter on “One Tree Hill” said her “heart hurts.”

On Thursday, November 25, the 37-year-old mother of two posted on Instagram some pictures of her 5-year-old daughter Jolie and 2-year-old son Jace. In one of the photos, the country singer was seen posing between her two kids.

In the caption, Jana first greeted her online devotees, “Happy thanksgiving.” She went on to share, “I’m beyond thankful for my beautiful babies. My heart hurts not being with them today and I have a feeling whether it’s the first holiday apart or the 30th there will always be an ache in the heart.”

Despite lamenting being away from her children, Jana gushed about “how grateful and thankful I am that I’m their momma.” She further explained, “Thinkin of all the others that are having a ‘first’ holiday of loss or missing or just a difficult time. Let it out and then let’s eat and drink our feelings.”

Jana shares Jolie and Jace with her ex-husband Mike. The couple called it quits in April after nearly six years of marriage. They finalized their divorce later in June.

Following the separation, the exes established the Permanent Parenting Plan. It means they “will behave with each other and each child so as to provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the child even though they are divorced.”

Court documents also mentioned that Jana and Mike “will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent.” It added, “They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”
