Julia Bradbury, 51, has taken to Twitter to share her support for Jacquie Beltrao, 56, as she undergoes treatment for breast cancer. Julia, who recently had a mastectomy after her own diagnosis, sent the Sky News presenter a heartfelt message.
Via Twitter, Jacquie shared a photograph from the hospital as she received a bone injection.
The former Olympian explained to her 87,700 followers: “Bone injection day – it takes half an hour.
“I have no idea what’s in it but I trust the science.
“It’s my choice but I’ve always found survival to be the key to saying ‘yes’ to treatment #chemounit #scienceisamazing.”
Julia responded to Jacquie to praise her for her “good attitude” towards treatment, adding that she hopes she feels ok.
Jacquie beat cancer for the first time in 2014.
However, the presenter confirmed that the disease returned during lockdown in 2020, after she found a lump near her collarbone.
Speaking to The Sun in November, Jacquie said: “I was absolutely floored when I discovered a small lump below my right collarbone.
“Even though it was up near my neck, it was still the breast tissue, and I was told it was stage four breast cancer.”
Upon receiving the diagnosis, Jacquie said she had burst into tears and thought: “How can this be happening to me again?”
The star’s most recent scan showed that her cancer was no longer there, but Jacquie said she knows this doesn’t mean she is fully cured.
Countryfile presenter Julia Bradbury has suffered her own ordeal since her breast cancer diagnosis, after undergoing a double mastectomy in October.
