Strictly: Nicola Adams rehearses with Katya Jones
Strictly Come Dancing professional Katya Jones, 31, and her fellow co-stars will not be dancing on the annual nationwide tour this year, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Today, she took to Instagram to reminisce about a moment from a show pre-covid.
Just imagine how special it’s going to be when we get a chance to entertain you again!
The unseen footage showed a crowd of Strictly Come Dancing fans cheering and clapping as they danced to the theme tune. The tour is due to kick off again next year.
In view of her 181,000 followers, she wrote: “Watching this makes me so emotional, the fact that we won’t be able to see those happy faces again this year!
“My favourite part of being a performer is having an affect on people.(sic)
“If we can give you joy and happiness whilst dancing our hearts out, then it’s worth it.

Katya added: “God, just imagine how special it’s going to be when we get a chance to entertain you again!

Many of the dancer’s fans flocked to her post to comment.
One user wrote: “Keep the faith. It will happen. You have all our love.”
“Can’t wait! Miss this so much, will never take it for granted ever again,” a second commented.
A third penned: “Love the strictly tours. Got loads of vid and photos – memories cannot wait til it happens again!”
Katya’s post comes after the recently ended Strictly 2020 series.

The dancer made history as part of the the show’s first same-sex pairing with dance partner Nicola Adams.
But, their time on the show was cut short after Katya tested positive for coronavirus and had to pull out of the competition.
After self-isolating, the pair returned to the show to dance together for one last time at the final.
The latest series was won by Oti Mabuse and her dance partner Bill Bailey.
Elsewhere, Katya recently took to Instagram to showcase her first tattoo.
The dancer gave a sultry pose to the camera as she flashed her new ink, located on her right wrist.
She commented: “I guess it’s time. It’s been long enough, I’m ready… Sorry mum, I got a tattoo.”
Katya later reassured her fans her mother had liked her post and was seemingly fine with her decision.
