Former One Direction singer, Liam Payne, has 'split' from his American girlfriend Kate Cassidy just one year after calling time on his engagement to fiancée Maya Henry.
Reports suggest model Kate, 24, has headed back home to the USA after moving out of the London home she shared with For You singer Liam, 29.
Liam and Kate had been dating for 10 months, and apparently the split is amicable, according to a source in The Sun.
The source said: "Liam knows it’s the right decision, he's been throwing himself into his music and the rest of the year he is jampacked with work.
"In truth trying to juggle his career and keep his relationship alive throughout the summer and into autumn was always going to be tricky – they both realised that."
Liam had often been pictured at celebrity events with his girlfriend, Kate. They appeared together on a red carpet at the Fashion Awards 2022 last December and also attended Vogue's after-party for the BAFTAs in February.
OK! has contacted Liam's representatives for comment.
Liam has previously owned-up to having trouble dating, telling Steven Bartlett on his Diary of a CEO podcast: “I’m more disappointed in myself that I keep on hurting people. That annoys me. I’ve just not been very good at relationships."
Liam dated Texan model Maya from 2019 to 2022 and apparently had a short romance with supermodel Naomi Campbell in 2019.
Back in 2018 he split from singer Cheryl after they dated for more than two years. They share a son, Bear, 6, together.
Reports recently suggested that Liam was 'desperate' to get One Direction back together as his solo career stalls.
One Direction fans could have their prayers answered in the coming months, as Liam Payne is reportedly "desperate" to get the band back together to relaunch his career.
"Liam is desperate to get back on the road with the boys," a source explained. "His solo career hasn’t remained as successful as he hoped it would, and work has become stagnant for him.
Liam recently stunned fans when he stepped out with Kate Cassidy looking totally different, as he sported a new chiselled jawline.
Fans were confused by the rather dramatic change, with many taking to social media to ask if the former boybander had undergone buccal fat removal.
This has become a popular trend among celebrities, and is when fat pads are removed from the inside of the cheek.
While Liam hasn't confirmed or denied the surgery, Dr Saleena Zimri, aesthetics doctor at Lumenis and founder of Skin Doctor, told the Daily Mail that she believed Liam has undergone the procedure.
She told them: "It does look like Liam has had some kind of buccal fat removal with the possibility of a jaw implant also."
Two years ago the singer said he was left looking rather bloated from all his wild drinking and partying.
He said: "There were a few pictures of me on a boat and I was all bloated out and I call it my pills-and-booze face.
"My face was 10 times bigger than it is now. The problem was, the best way to secure us was to lock us in our rooms, and what is in the room? A mini-bar.
"So I had a party-for-one that seemed to carry on for years. It was wild but the only way you could get the frustration out."\
