Miranda Lambert has been recruited to serve as one of the executive producers as well as star in a scripted podcast created by Audio Up Media.
Titled “Make It Up as We Go,” the new podcast will explore the story of a young, aspiring country singer-songwriter who aims to make it big in the industry.
Lambert, who once used to be in the same position in her career as the protagonist of the story (played by musician Scarlett Burke), shared that she has “built a career telling stories, specifically through music.”
She added that the “challenges as an aspiring singer/songwriter” that Burke’s character faces “are ones that I can relate to firsthand, which really captivated my attention.”
Other cast-members include Dennis Quaid, Billy Bob Thornton, Bobby Bones, Lindsay Ell, and Craig Robinson. The podcast will feature original music by Lambert, Burke, Ell and Nicolle Galyon.
The podcast is slated for release on October 1 through the iHeartPodcast Network.
