Nigel Havers has opened up about his wife Georgiana Bronfman’s “complaining” as he discussed The Bidding Room. The presenter had to make sure he didn’t get too carried away while filming the new BBC programme.
If I tried to sneak anything else into the house I would be killed

The 68-year-old wed his spouse back in 2007, and she claims they have “got too much ‘stuff'” at their house.
However, the actor couldn’t resist making one purchase while shooting the series, but stopped himself from taking anything home.
The Bidding Room follows a group of expert dealers, who attempt to outbid eachother to buy extraordinary items brought in by the public.
Nigel has now opened up about what stood out most to him, admitting to winning something with three of his co-stars.

The star recalled: “Out of 138 objects, my favourite was a bottle of Chateaux Palmer 1959 which four of us clubbed together, bought and drank.
“It tasted of angel’s breath! I was also rather taken with a bed of nails, but not remotely tempted to buy it.”
When asked what he himself collects, he commented: “I collect stuffed fish in bow fronted, gilt framed cases by Cooper & Sons, who stuffed fish between 1870 and 1903.”
Nigel went on remark on his wife’s feelings, while discussing if there was anything he was tempted to buy or start collecting.
He added: “Well apart from the wine, there were many other things, such as a Corpus Christi carving, and a pair of telescopic candlesticks.
“But I’m an inveterate collector and my wife is always complaining that we’ve got too much ‘stuff’ so if I tried to sneak anything else into the house I would be killed.”
Nigel married Essex native Georgiana 13 years ago in New York City.
She is the former spouse of the late Edgar Bronfman, with whom she has three children.
