Peter Andre reveals wife Emily disagreed on their kids returning to school as lockdown eases

Peter Andre has revealed his children are returning to school on Monday 1 June, but he doesn’t want them to.

The 47 year old Mysterious Girl singer revealed he and wife Emily Andrea were divided on the decision on whether they should send their two children back to school following Boris Johnson's announcement.

Peter revealed the only reason why he went with Emily’s decision is because she’s a doctor.

He has two children, Amelia, six, and three year old Theodore, who recently gatecrashed Peter’s Loose Women interview, with wife Emily as well as Junior, 14, and Princess, 12, with ex wife Katie Price.

Peter told The Sun: “We very rarely have opposite views – but I don’t think they should go back tomorrow and Emily thinks they should.

“The only reason I’m going with what Emily says is because she’s a doctor.”

He then admitted: “If it was up to me I’d say no.”

Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the decision to reopen schools for set year groups across England earlier in May.

Earlier this month, Emily supported Boris Johnson’s initial announcement he was easing the lockdown, after it was criticised for being too “vague”.

Writing in her OK! magazine column, Emily explained: “Some people were left confused by Boris Johnson’s speech about easing the lockdown and I can understand where they’re coming from, but I also feel some people’s expectations are unrealistic.

“The government has to give very generalised advice that applies to as many people as possible, but there will always be individuals who the advice can’t apply to.”

Emily, who also said the coronavirus is unlikely to disappear until we get a vaccine, said another coronavirus peak in the UK is always a risk whenever the lockdown is eased.

She wrote: “Some have also said they thought the new measures were brought in too soon, which is an understandable concern.

“The fact is whenever we lift the lockdown there is a risk of another peak, but what they’re trying to do now is minimise the spread by easing it gently.

“It’s a worrying time for everyone so all we can do is try to follow the advice as best as we can.”

The couple recently opened up on plans to extend their brood one day as Peter admitted he wants to try for a baby with Emily.

He said: “A baby would be amazing. We keep saying yes, we keep saying no. I think maybe!

“It's tough, because if someone says to the guy, 'Do you want another child?' you're just thinking, 'Oh yeah, let's try, why not?'

“We have discussions al the time. I said to Emily, 'If you want another one than we have to start trying now.”

He continued to The Sun Online: “I'm 47 and I don't want to be changing nappies at 50 because I've done it so many times over the last 15 years.

“This is my last year that I would be willing to try, because then I'm over the nanny stage for good.

“Unless you're someone like Simon Cowell, having his first baby in his 50s.”
