Prince Harry "Spent Less Time" with Prince Louis Due to Tensions with Prince William

At this point even your grandma probably knows about Prince Harry and Prince William’s “royal feud,” an ongoing saga that’s been dominating the news cycle for literal years. But apparently tension among the brothers also impacted Harry’s relationship with his nephews and niece.

Harry used to live near the Cambridges at Kensington Palace, and spent a lot of time with Prince George and Princess Charlotte thanks to their close proximity. But things were tense between Harry and William by the time Prince Louis was born, and as a result Harry never spent much time with him. Per The Mirror, Finding Freedom authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand wrote that “The brothers went from always making time for each other to barely spending any time together,” adding “Harry had always loved popping across the grounds of the palace to see Charlotte and George, bringing them gifts that including an electronic SUV for his nephew and a tricycle for Charlotte.”

Sadly “those visits came to a halt by that summer of 2017” and “Harry spent less time with Prince Louis than the others because of the growing tension between him and his brother after the baby’s birth.” Oh, and apparently “the distance came in both directions” as “Harry spent less time going over to see the children but the invites from William and Kate were the first to dry up.”

As a reminder, Finding Freedom also reveals that Harry and William’s issues stemmed from William being less than welcoming when Meghan joined the royal family. He even told Harry to “take as much time as you need to get to know ‘this girl,’” which Harry thought was incredibly snobby and made him grow “tired of the dynamic that had become established between him and his older brother.”

Here’s to hoping William and Harry can mend fences in the future if they haven’t already!
