Robbie Williams dumped Ayda Field multiple times before they got married: ‘He had my heart’

Robbie Williams was a true heartbreaker before settling down as he secretly broke up with Ayda Field three times before eventually tying the knot with the blonde beauty.

The 46 year old, who recently delighted fans by reuniting with Gary Barlow for a virtual concert, had insisted at the time that he didn't want to commit to anyone or have children.

In a bid to show Ayda that he could never be the man she wanted, he decided to break up with her three separate times, forcing her to fight for their relationship.

Although she was hurt by his "questionable" break-up methods, the actress refused to give up on him – a decision she doesn't regret.

Speaking out about their relationship, the 41 year old told The Sunday Times newspaper: "The most generous way of describing his breaking-up methods is 'questionable'. But I was in love with him.

"He was a lovely, beautiful human and he was just so charming and funny and amazing. He had my heart. He was my soulmate. He used to say, 'I'm never getting married and I'm never having kids.' We laugh at that now."

She went on: "For the most part, we just get along. I value his opinion. I trust his answers. And he makes me laugh more than any other human on the planet."

The couple, who have been together since 2006 and married in 2010, now have four children together: Teddy, seven, Charlie, five, Coco, 18 months, and Beau, who was born earlier this year via surrogate.

However, Ayda admitted that before she met Robbie she never considered having kids herself, but found her mind had changed as soon as they got together.

She said: "Then this cheeky boy from Stoke came into my life and completely side-railed my plans. All of a sudden I wanted to have a baby with this man.

"I can't believe we have four, but it feels wonderful, beyond our wildest dreams. I would be very surprised if there are any more, but never say never."

The beauty explained that they each take turns to be the strict parents, but she feels Robbie is more easygoing than her.

Ayda has previously spoken about her pop star husband, who recently revealed his dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, as she told an X Factor contestant: "Rob put me through some [heartbreak]. Rob dumped me three times."

She added: "What a bad man. I know, we’re all thinking it."
