Alun Wyn Jones OUT of rest of Lions tour after captain is forced off just seven minutes into Japan warm-up win

ALUN WYN JONES is OUT of the Lions tour with a dislocated shoulder as Warren Gatland's men beat Japan 28-10

The news is devastating for the Lions skipper and three-times tourist.

Boss Warren Gatland will now replace Jones – and then also appoint a new tour skipper to take on South Africa.

Jones lasted just seven minutes of the win over Japan before he was helped off the Murrayfield pitch.

Shocked Gatland said: "The shoulder was dislocated, they got it back in pretty easily.

"We'll get it scanned, but with a dislocated shoulder it's never good news. We'll look at getting someone in pretty quickly and on the plane tomorrow.

"The prognosis of him being fit in the very best scenarios is he might be able to get to the first Test. It is looking like we will have to replace him. It's very disappointing. He will be gutted."

The Lions are also sweating on news of a shoulder injury to Justin Tipuric as well.
