The knotted styles are having a moment right now, accessorising influencers all over the world for their workouts, dinners out and just about everything in-between.
You might have decided that they don't work with your look, but headbands are actually really useful for doing your make-up or skincare routine too because they keep all your hair out of your face.
Or maybe you're a bit of a gym bunny and need something to stop those untameable strands getting in your way? Moisture-wicking styles have your back.
Whether you want to just jump on the trend or need one for practicality, we've found the best headbands on Amazon and tested each of them out, just for you. Let's head into it.

1. nuoshen 4 Pcs Workout Headbands
- (AD) nuoshen 4 Pcs Workout Headbands, £6.89 from Amazon – buy here
Top of our list is the wildly affordable nuoshen Workout Headbands, available on Amazon for less than £7, which equates to £1.75 each.
In a pack of four different colour-ways, these sweat-wicking, breathable knot headbands are specifically made to be worn when exercising.
First off, we have to comment on the fabric of these because it's amazing for such an affordable price. Think lightweight, stretchy and super soft.
We wore one for our yoga session and the thickness really keeps your hair off your face, but comfortably as the thin fabric is not too tight at all.
All in all, these get top marks for quality and price, even if they aren't the most fashionable of all.
2. Nimiah Boho Headbands
- (AD) Boho Headbands for Women, £10.99 from Amazon – buy here
Next up is Nimiah's Boho Headbands, featuring four different bandana styles in the classic knot design.
For £10.99 you get light cotton headbands printed all over with the stylish old school bandana prin in red, black, navy and light blue.
Again, the quality can't be faulted, especially when you're basically paying £2.75 per headband – they're soft with a bold print that gives us all the early noughties Beyoncé vibes.
The only thing is, as they're not particularly thick, if you have a lot of hair (like us) then the print is less noticeable when you wear it.
However, for style points and comfort levels, these are a winner in our books.
3. EIKOOSS Beach Headbands
- EIKOOSS Beach Headbands for Women, £7.99 from Amazon – buy here
Another classic paisley bandana-print style, each of EIKOOSS' Beach Headbands are printed all over with lovely vibrant colours.
They're under £8 for three and cut from spandex-blend, which should make them close-fitting, snug and super soft…
And that they were. We're obsessed. Not only are these one of the softest on Amazon (that we tried), they're also thicker in width than others which means the print is really visible when you wear them.
It's a double wrap which makes the headband feel really secure on your head too.
From the quality, to the bold prints, these are definitely a beach-and-beyond staple if we ever saw one. Now to find a bikini to match.
4. Aneco Boho Headbands
- Aneco 10 Pieces Boho Headbands, £8.99 from Amazon – buy here
If you love getting the most for your money, you'll want to hang around for this one. Aneco's pack of ten headbands is £8.99, so they're basically 89p each. This is why we love Amazon.
In a pack of basically every colour you can think of, these ribbed cotton headbands are only elasticated at the back where the stretch keeps them in place.
In short, these tick every box as they're so minimal, they're the perfect accessory for every outfit you wear, and they stay snug on your head throughout the day too.
Even though the quality isn't premium, they are made well and do the job more-than nicely.
These are your day-in-day-out option – having such variety means you can match them to almost every outfit you own!
5. FINGOOO Yoga Stretch Headbands
- FINGOOO 12 pieces Yoga Stretch Headbands, £5.99 from Amazon – buy here
Listen up bargain-hunters, FINGOOO's got 12 headbands on Amazon for below £6, and with free delivery. Need we say more?
Sometimes all you want is a no-nonsense headband for your skincare routine, and that's definitely what these are, coming in 12 separately-packaged colours.
Ok so these definitely aren't a fashion statement, although they definitely do what they're supposed to, pushing your hair back and keeping it in place without ever getting too tight.
The fabric is quite thin and they're not of amazing quality, but that's expected when they're the equivalent of 50p a pop.
Our main compliment goes to the colours as they are actually as bright as they appear on the Amazon page, and if you happen to lose any, at least you have back up options.
6. lofuanna Metal Headbands
- lofuanna Metal Hair Bands for Men Women's Headbands, £5.59 from Amazon – buy here
Last but not necessarily least comes in the form of lofuanna's two-pack of Metal Hair Bands, as seen on Instagrammers and Youtubers alike.
Named a number one best-seller on Amazon, these unisex hairbands give you a cool zig zag shaping, cut from sturdy, durable metal.
Thankfully. the edge has some plastic padding which stops them from digging into your head, although we didn't find these the most comfortable headbands we've ever worn.
In terms of the aesthetic, we get it. They're very early noughties (David Beckham?) and practicality-wise, they're flawless – we could safely cleanse our face and do our make-up wearing one.
However, after wearing it all day, we had a bit of a headache which is either down to them being too small for our head, or maybe just because metal just isn't the cosiest of materials.
We'll keep these for practical reasons, i.e. times we only need to wear them for about 20 minutes, tops.
