Denise Van Outen throws stepdaughter Leah an incredible 21st birthday in lockdown with Chanel cake, hot tub and disco

It looks as though it’s been a fun-filled bank holiday weekend in Denise Van Outen’s household, as the 45 year old presenter created an epic birthday bash for her stepdaughter Leah Boxshall’s 21st birthday.

Denise, who is currently isolating with boyfriend Eddie Boxshall and their respective children, put on quite the bash, including balloons galore, a kitchen rave and a Chanel cake, proving lockdown birthdays can be just as fun as any other.

Denise, who narrates The Only Way Is Essex, posted a string of snaps in celebration of stepdaughter Leah on her social media.

In one, the stunning blonde presenter leans on a balloon-stuffed 21 sign alongside Leah and Eddie and in the background a light-up sign signalling Leah’s kitchen disco can be spotted.

Denise penned: “@leah.boxshall 21st birthday celebration in lockdown, just the 3 of us. Kitchen disco. We love you Leah. Happy birthday beautiful.”

In another shot, Denise shared a photo of the cake she’d bought for Leah, labelling it the “cake of dreams.”

The cake featured a big ‘happy 21st birthday Leah’ sign and small Chanel lipsticks and makeup palettes modelled out of icing.

The trio, who reside in Chelmsford, Essex, also treated themselves to Champagne before enjoying the kitchen disco in a home decorated with stunning balloon garlands, and opulent lighting as Eddie took on the role of cool dad, taking to the DJ decks to make Leah’s birthday a dreamy one.

Denise’s kitchen boasts chic, modern vibes. On the wall hangs a black and white photo of model Twiggy and white antler-style lights hang from the ceiling which features large, rustic, wooden beams.

The space also boasts glossy white surfaces and a computer was positioned in the centre of the kitchen island ready for Leah’s party.

Celebrations didn’t end there, as outside Denise showed off an enviable hot tub, filled and ready for a frolic.

Denise recently popped up on Good Morning Britain to speak about homeschooling amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The star has been playing the role of teacher for her 10 year old daughter Betsy, who she shares with ex-husband Lee Mead.

She said: “It’s not too bad. Betsy’s school is lovely and her teacher has been doing an online session everyday. I try to listen in.

"It’s all new to the kids and it’s a little overwhelming at first. It’s nice because as a parent you get to see how your child learns and also, I’m learning too.

'I’ve also realised I have zero patience, I’m always trying to jump to the next thing and she’s like, "I haven’t finished yet!"'

Denise also sorted out her lockdown locks with the help of boyfriend Eddie.

She told Good Morning Britain: “He did my roots! My lockdown roots. I’m quite lucky. I was going quite grey in the front but at the back you could see I’m not a natural blonde.”
