French racing tips: Templegate's best bets for Thursday's meeting at Deauville live on Sky Sports Racing

EDISA looks the one to beat as she takes a drop in class. She was last seen finishing a close-up fourth in a Group 3 at Saint Cloud. She steps up in trip from that 1m3f contest here which looks a smart move.

Amarena found life tough in Group 1 company last time but earned her place at that level thanks to a good Listed success at Longchamp. She has few miles on the clock and is open to improvement.

Muette comes down in class here after a good run at the Arc meeting in October. She stays well and should have a lot more to offer this season.

Think Of Me is upped in grade after a bloodless win at Fontainebleu. She needs more against these but could deliver.

MILLE FOIS MERCI showed enough promise last season to win a race like this. A repeat of her Chantilly fifth to end the campaign should be good enough.

Ceinture Noire was fourth in a Group 3 here last time which is strong form. This mile should suit and she’s the danger, while Jamilya was beaten in a tight photo finish on debut at Chantilly in March so should be right there.

SUR MA VIE is the one for me. She has not been off the podium for a long time and went down in a tight finish here last time out in March. This trip is ideal and she’s proven in this grade.

Stromboli is one of the few in the field who has run lately and he was a good second at Angers. His fitness should be an asset.

Semeur D’Espoir ran better than sixth place suggests at Chantilly last time. This looks an easier assignment, while Maktava comes back to his favourite trip here which should help. He has plenty of weight but likes this track too.

MONARGENT has the benefit of in-form Maxime Guyon in the saddle and he won a decent race at Cagnes last time out in February. That was over this trip and today’s opposition doesn’t look any tougher.

Chasselay was a close second at Chantilly last time at this level. He likes this distance and should be righer there again.

High Dream likes this trip and put in a good run at Saint Cloud when last seen 224 days ago. He’ll probably need this but has place claims, and Plantlove scored in the mud at Longchamp over a furlong shorter and goes well here.

HEIR TO A THRONE has been hammering on the door and was just a length off the pace when third at Chantilly last time. This company looks slightly easier and he will be right there again.

Shamsabad is back at handicap level after a good second at conditions level latest. His best over this trip may well be good enough.

Jeitoso Bayer stays really well and will be making a bold bid at the finish following a Chantilly win 90 days ago. Chill Wind is another last-time scorer. The veteran has nudged back up the weights but is in good form.

ABBELLO makes his handicap debut from what looks a fair mark. He has been showing promise in maidens and the first-time visor should help.

Imbleville is another starting at this level after a good third at Fontainbleu latest. He likes to go from the front and may take some pegging back.

Mixologist lost his maiden tag in good style and should appreciate this longer trip. His rider takes a valuable 6lb off the top weight.

CROCY was fourth in a bunch finish here last time out in February. That was in a stronger handicap than this so a repeat should be good enough.

Nostalbowl is a regular in the frame and put in another good effort at Cagnes last time out. This drop in trip holds no fears.

Sissi Doloise was three lengths off the pace in better company here latest. She is capable of going close at this level, while Devil’s Eye ran better than seventh place suggests last time.

MERCI MERCI can turn a run of placed efforts into a long overdue win. She is right at home over this distance and went down in a close finish last time.

Lance D’Estuaire was just a neck away from winning at Fontainbleu latest. That was a similar contest so she should be on the premises again.

Miss Rafael has plenty of good form over shorter and can hit the frame despite this longer trip. El Cat Bere was a good second latest and is on a fair mark.
