Game of Thrones and EastEnders star Darren Kent has died aged 36 after a long health battle.

Darren first landed his big break in Mirrors, back in 2008, shortly after he completed his studies at Italia Conti stage school, in London.

The actor has also appeared Snow White and the Huntsman alongside some of Hollywood's biggest names such as Kristen Stewart.

Darren was assigned the role by Mushroom Theatre Company founder Penni Bubb in 2018.

Talking about the TV star, Darren said: “Darren was a very supportive, generous and lovely man.

“He thoroughly enjoyed spending his time with us and performing for our students – especially when he used to sing for them!

“We are going to miss our much-loved patron so much, and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this terribly sad time.”

A fellow patron called Lee Mead also paid tribute to the star.

He added: “Darren was an amazing human being and so special.

“[He was] always giving of his time to people and always so positive.

“A fine actor too and he achieved so much as well.

    “Such heartbreaking news.”

Another actor by the name of Mark Haldor also shared a heartfelt note.

Mark wrote: "Darren inspired me every day of his life.

"He never let his circumstances dull his shine and regardless of any obstacles, achieved so many things in his life and career many of us only dream of.

"Not only an inspiration he was always every one else’s biggest supporter too."

Though he was excelled in his career and was loved by family and friends, he didn't have an easy ride with his health.

Darren had battled and overcame osteoporosis, arthritis and an extremely rare skin disorder.

He reportedly devoted a lot of his time in supporting disabled, non-disabled and disadvantaged people to help them enjoy the power of performing arts and was a patron of Equal People Performing Arts.
