Horse racing tips: Red-hot Templegate's NAP can land the Ayr Gold Cup at a massive 14-1 | The Sun

TEMPLEGATE looks to keep up his simply sensational run of form with some more winners on a big betting Saturday.

Read on for our man's top tips and back a horse by clicking their odds below.

VADREAM (3.40 Ayr, nap)

She is an Autumn horse who ran much the best race of the season when beaten just a neck in a Newmarket Listed contest last time.

She is best over this trip and likes a little juice in the ground. This is the first time she’s dropped into a handicap and she looks on a fair weight.

ROYAL CHAMPION (1.55 Ayr, nb)

He took a step forward when a close-up third in a Windsor Group 3 last time. That was over this trip on the back of another solid run at Haydock. This slight drop in class can do the trick.

TIS MARVELLOUS (2.15 Newbury, treble)

He was impressive when winning the Listed Beverley Bullet last time. He was well on top there over this trip and he goes on any ground. He’ll be right there again.

Templegate's ITV Racing verdicts

AYR

1.20

REDARNA is in flying form and went close in the Shergar Cup at Ascot last time after running well at Pontefract. He’s off the same mark here and likes Ayr.

Seasett didn’t act at Epsom last time but ran well at York before that and won’t mind if there’s some juice in the ground.

Koy Koy went close in good company at Newbury last time. This trip suits and a first-time hood could bring some improvement.

1.55

ROYAL CHAMPION took a step forward when a close-up third in a Windsor Group 3 last time. That was over this trip on the back of another solid run at Haydock. This slight drop in class can do the trick.

Phantom Flight was an easy handicap winner at York and looks well up to this higher level. He stays well with the only worry being the ground as he likes it fast.

Euchen Glen takes a drop in distance here after a fair effort over 1m6f at Haydock. That could wake him up and he’s won in this grade before.

2.30

STRIKE RED looks a big price if he can get his act together. He finished strongly at Newcastle last time after missing the break and was beaten in a bunch finish for a good race at Hamilton before that.

He likes this trip and is nicely down the weights even before his rider takes off 7lb.

Emperor Spirit went down in a tight finish at Ffos Las and is another who looks on a fair mark. He likes this trip and should be in the mix.

Snash was a good winner the last time he ran here in July and didn’t get the run of the race in the Great St Wilfrid at Ripon latest. He likes this trip and looks a live contender.

3.05

QUEEN ME scored on debut at Haydock but left that form behind when going down in a photo for the Group 2 Lowther at York last month. That was over this trip and a repeat would see her take this slightly easier contest.

All The Time almost won the Dick Poole at Salisbury latest despite wandering across the track. The Crisford horses continue in excellent form and she looks a danger.

Bonny Angel has been doing well in handicaps, scoring at Leicester and Doncaster. She is on the upgrade but tackles stronger rivals here.

3.40

VADREAM is an Autumn horse who ran much the best race of the season when beaten just a neck in a Newmarket Listed contest last time.

She is best over this trip and likes a little juice in the ground. This is the first time she’s dropped into a handicap and she looks on a fair weight.

Khanjar has been well backed for William Haggas who won this race two years ago. He has done little wrong this season and had a bit up his sleeve at Haydock last time. He has to prove his liking for ground slower than good to firm but will be a big threat if handling it.

Bielsa won this last year and is back from a 1lb higher handicap mark. He wasn’t beaten far at Chester last time but this will have been the main target for a while. He looks a good bet to hit the frame again.

Commanche Falls comes here in good form after winning the Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood before a close second at York last time. That’s decent form and he’ll be in the mix.

NEWBURY

1.40

SISKANY hasn’t run for six months but did well when last seen with a win at Meydan before going close in Saudi. He stays and likes a little give in the ground. Charlie Appleby will have him fit enough to go.

Solid Stone won this 12 months ago and kicked off this season with a Chester success. He was below par at Kempton last time but could easily bounce back.

Dubai Future was unlucky in the Group 2 York Stakes in July and returns from a short break. He stays well and won’t be far away.

2.15

TIS MARVELLOUS was impressive when winning the Listed Beverley Bullet last time. He was well on top there over this trip and he goes on any ground. He’ll be right there again.

Manaccan is in fine form and followed his Shergar Cup win with victory at Donny. He’s best over this trip and can improve.

Chil Chil was far from disgraced in the Group 1 Sprint Cup here over 6f and will be a threat if coping with this drop in trip.

2.50

SAKHEER was impressive when scoring by six lengths here. He picked up sweetly and Roger Varian’s colt should have a lot more to come.

Wallop made a pleasing start when third at Newmarket and the form has been franked. Expect him to take a big step forward with ‘Mr Haydock’ Richard Kingscote on board.

Shouldvebeenaring took Listed honours at Ripon on the back of a big sales race success at York. This trip is ideal and he’s a major player.

3.25

WARREN POINT was impressive when winning over this trip at Goodwood. He wasn’t at home on that tricky track but dug deep. He’s gone up the weights but looks capable of winning above this handicap level.

Marching Army enjoyed this distance when scoring at Yarmouth and looks a threat. That was just his second run of the season so he’s still fresh.

Majestic has been doing well over a mile and can make the places if enjoying this longer trip.
