McDonald’s has branches all around the world, but their menu changes from place to place.
To make sure that their meals are enjoyed from country to country the fast food joint creates items which match local tastes and flavour preferences.
It’s for this reason that McDonald’s India sells a Paneer burger, McAloo and a Veg Pizza McPuff, but no beef.
Plus, McDonald’s Japan sells a teriyaki chicken burger and a Shrimp Filet-O – yum!
But, the burger brand’s latest release in China has caused shock among fans due to the rather unusual flavour combo.
Would you try this burger? Let us know in the comments…
The Spam and Oreo-style biscuit burger was shared on Weibo – a popular social media site in China.
And, it’s confusing…
The post claimed that the burger has a “fairy-like taste”, whatever that means.
And, photos made it look like fried Spam would be topped with cookie crumbles and a white sauce.
Sadly, if you were keen to try the sweet-and-salty dish you’ll be disappointed.
McDonald’s is only selling 400,000 of the burgers in China from Monday, 21 December, claims LadBible.
If you’re really upset that you can’t try it then you could probably make your own.
We’d recommend buying some Spam and frying it in a pan, crushing up some Oreos and smashing the whole lot together with some mayo.
Then, put that inside a McDonald’s bun.
Look, we didn’t come up with it we’re just making a recommendation.
If you’re not so keen on this odd combination then tuck into the McDonald’s UK festive offering instead.
We’d recommend the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Sandwich – it’s 10/10.
