Though Meghan, Duchess of Sussex was known for her career as an actress, she also adores writing. To make ends meet before snagging her breakout role on the drama series, Suits, she used her skills in calligraphy to make money. Later in her career, the duchess launched a lifestyle blog, The Tig which she edited and wrote herself.
When Meghan and Prince Harry got engaged in 2017, she was forced to shutter The Tig and her social media accounts. However, as she tried to navigate her new life in the British royal family, the duchess figured out how to privately express herself.
While the British press and public never warmed to the duchess, it looks like she may have a detailed account of what really went on behind the scenes.

Meghan Markle desperately wants people to understand her perspective
Unfortunately, as a member of the British royal family who had to adhere to certain traditions and protocols, Meghan’s voice got muzzled. Previously, she had been able to speak out about politics and things that concerned her. Though being a member of the royal family allowed her to advocate for causes near and dear to her heart, she had to remain quiet about politics and many social issues.
Even more frustrating was the fact that she could not even advocate for herself, leaving her defenseless when lies and rumors continued to swirl about her. Now amid Megxit, the duchess is desperate for people to understand her perspective, and she might get her chance,
On August 11, royal experts, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand will release their book on the Sussexes, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family.
“The Duchess reportedly hopes readers will have compassion for her and all she’s been through, which has been anything but a fairy tale,” a source told The Daily Mail.

Meghan Markle would never want her private diary to leak
Though the Sussexes reportedly gave Scoobie and Durand unprecedented access to them, this will still be a very polished version of what they experienced. However, Meghan allegedly kept a diary of everything that happened to her as a senior royal.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Meghan kept a secret diary during her time as a senior working royal. “She is a good writer with a nice turn of phrase,” royal expert Andrew Morton explained.
The Sussexes’ spokesperson has declined to comment on this diary rumor, but we do know that if it’s true, the duchess would never want her private words to leak.
