However, she said she got her 'first taste of freedom' at 15 when she when she went to the US as an exchange student.

But it was going away to university at 18 that changed her life forever, with the adult performer saying she 'discovered sex' while studying for a degree.

This led her to enter the adult industry back in 2012, with Cindy saying she 'instinctively knew she had found her calling'.

However, despite her being happy with her X-rated career, the same couldn't be said for her family.

Talking about their fraught relationship, the adult performer exclusively told Daily Star: "My family is very strict.

"They definitely weren't happy when they find out what I do. They thought I was too smart to be in that kind of industry.

"I remember saying to them 'What kind of industry? Sex work is still work!'

"I have met more open-minded individuals in this business than any others. They work just as hard as others from another industry."

She continued: "We are not on a speaking terms because they couldn’t accept me for who I am and they think my money is dirty.

"I don't want to surround myself with negativity so I made the sacrifice to not talk to them again to keep my sanity.

"Finally I'm able to choose myself over what they want for me!"

Asked how she got into the porn industry, Cindy said she was 'discovered by a Hustler executive' who put her in the centrefold of the magazine.

She said: "After that, everything happened very quickly. I was connected with a reputable modelling agency and they booked my first gig.

"My first gig was a boy/girl scene. I didn't know what to expect and I was nervous during makeup, but the director and male talent helped me feel better.

"They knew English wasn't my first language so they helped me dialogue.

"I'm forever grateful for them. They made me feel so comfortable during the set and paid me on the same day.

"It was more money than I made in a whole month at my corporate job for only 4 hours."

Although she enjoys her X-rated career, Cindy, who also previously worked as a cam girl, says there are some things that she wouldn't do.

She told us: "There's a lot I wouldn't do and I believe it's important to know your limit.

"I don't shoot boy/girl an*l videos and I don't do hard bondage or being tied up.

"I also won't do anything too rough such as being beaten up.

"Some people might consider me a diva in this business but it’s important for every girl in this cutthroat industry to hold their standard and stick to it."

Cindy added: "The right agent will respect your limit because at the end of the day, you need your peace.

"No one will look out for you in this business. They will always ask for more and it’s up to you to give them more or not."
