Rapper Mo3 dies after being shot during ‘brazen’ drive-by on Dallas highway

Up-and-coming rapper Mo3 has died after being shot in a drive-by on a Texas highway Wednesday.

The 28-year-old musician, whose real name was Melvin Noble, was killed in the brazen midday attack on Interstate 35 in Dallas, TMZ reported.

Police said the triggerman got out of his stopped car and approached the rapper, who exited his vehicle and started running.

The gunman chased Mo3 and fired off several rounds, hitting him in the back of the head.

A bystander sitting in his car was also struck in the fusillade. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, cops said.

“I don’t know a better word to describe it other than ‘brazen.’ I mean, in broad daylight (with) several cars around,” Sgt. Warren Mitchell told the Dallas Morning News of the shooting.

Mo3, a Dallas native and father of three, was reportedly shot in the head last December and managed to survive.

He was most well known for his 2019 track “Errybody,” a collaboration with rapper Boosie Badazz, that has racked up more than 50 million views on YouTube.

“IM LOST FOR WORDS #tip MY BOY “MO3 SEE U WHEN I GET THERE,” Boosie Badazz wrote on Twitter after hearing of his friend’s murder.

In a March 2019 interview with Flaunt magazine and his music and career, Mo3 described himself as a “gang member turned rapper.”

“The black community and the Hispanic community, we deal with a lot of poverty and struggle,” he said, “I’m giving a message, I’m giving hope.”
