During her time in the spotlight the 30 year old has also been very open about her weight, she publicly shared the news she was medically obese following a doctors appointment and went on to lose weight for her stint in the jungle.

Scarlett then slimmed down from a size 18 to a size 8 for her Scarlett's SuperSlim Me Plan DVD, before reportedly admitting she'd been miserable after losing weight and hated being thin.

Here's a look at Scarlett Moffatt's weight loss timeline…

Scarlett reveals doctors told her she's obese

Ahead of the launch of her fitness DVD, Scarlett Moffat went on This Morning to explain the moment that changed everything.

She told the presenters: "I asked him, 'I'm not overweight am I?'" and he said: 'No, you're obese!'."

The move frightened her after she then got tested for type two diabetes.

Scarlett lost three stone before she headed into the jungle, and she shared a host of transformation photographs on Instagram at the time.

She told her followers at one point: "Crying like a baby today, Cant believe I've lost 2 stone. Feel so proud. Honestly if a professional couch potato can do it, anybody can!"

The star releases Scarlett's SuperSlim Me Plan

Scarlett's SuperSlim Me Plan DVD launched on 26 December 2016 and was very successful.

Posting on social media on launch day, Scarlett wrote: "AHH MY DVD IS OUT TODAY! Scarlett's SUPER slim me is out in stores and on Amazon now. Let's all do this together and motivate each other to be the healthiest & feel as SUPER as we possibly can!" [sic]

She also revealed she's lost seven and a half pounds in the first week of doing it.

Scarlett Moffatt reveals she was 'miserable' after losing weight

In 2018 Scarlett reportedly admitted she didn't enjoy her slimmer life and was unhappy after losing weight at the Glamour Beauty Festival seminar. Speaking at her own body confidence seminar, Scarlett – interviewed by her little sister Ava, 13 – opened up about how she felt about her weight after being crowned Queen of the jungle.

The Sun claim Scarlett said: “When I first came out of the jungle I went through a stage where I felt like I had to try and look a certain way. I wanted to try and get out of the stereotypical Geordie girl. I stopped wearing fake tan and wore WAG dresses.

"But I was really miserable. I like being orange and having eyelashes that go up to my forehead."

Scarlett Moffatt's fitness DVD is criticised

Following the release of Scarlett's DVD, The Sun claimed that the star actually achieved the incredible body results by secretly attending a boot camp and eating around 700 calories per day.

A source said: "The DVD is a sham really. There is no mention of the boot camp where she was climbing mountains and exercising for six hours a day. Scarlett is one of the most popular young women on TV — a real girl-next-door figure. The DVD gave fans an unrealistic portrayal of how she lost weight."

Following this, Scarlett tweeted: "Thanks for all the amazing tweets about game of phones and takeaway last night a day of board games and pizza for me, enjoy your Sunday everybody… remember to sprinkle your positivity and kindness like confetti."

Scarlett shows off weight loss in Instagram snaps

In 2019, the Gogglebox star revealed her struggle with weight had been primarily to do with her hectic lifestyle and a struggle to stick to her gruelling workout regime.

Scarlett posted regular snaps on Instagram, showing off her gorgeous size 12 figure.

She told The Sun at the time: “I was so focused on staying slim I stopped being sociable. I was like, ‘I can’t drink this then I’ll be hungover and I’ll want to eat a McDonald’s breakfast the next day,’ so I never really got into a good routine.

“Whereas now I like going to the gym but I also like going for food.

“So for me, it’s not necessarily that I’m the most happy with my body, I’m just happy with life. I’ve got the balance right.”

Scarlett opens up on 'purposely putting on weight'

Scarlett revealed that she “put on weight on purpose” to discourage fans from buying her fitness DVD.

After going from a size 18 to a size 8, Scarlett revealed she faced trolling after putting on weight following the release of the DVD.

Speaking to Frankie Bridge on her Open Mind podcast, the 30-year-old branded the decision to release a DVD as the “worst thing she’s ever done”.

“I slowly realised it was quite detrimental to my mental health,” she explained.

“I’ve also deleted all my before and after pictures…Not only were they bad for my peace of mind it wasn't really good for other people because now I look like my before picture again.”

Scarlett added: “I sort of rebelled against the DVD because I just didn't like how it happened and I just wasn't for it anymore.

“I purposefully started putting weight on. I was sort of like, ‘if I get big again it can't get brought up’. I can't have this stigma attached to me about this DVD and people will stop buying it.”

Scarlett went on to reveal that she did actually follow the diet on the DVD, saying she “cut out a lot” to shed weight.

She said: “I think people thought I had been walking and rambling up mountains for six months but it wasn't, I genuinely did just do those exercise [in the DVD] but obviously I had to cut out a lot of food from what I was normally eating.

“I think now that is what I want to try to say to people – ‘please don't think that you can just own this DVD and then instantly you can lose that amount of weight, it is a lot of pressure and it is a lot of work’.”

Scarlett is now loving embracing her figure, telling listeners: “I wore a swimsuit in a waterpark, which I know doesn't sound like a massive step…

“But for me that was massive, especially in front of my boyfriend, because normally I would wear cover ups and kaftans and short and T-shirt.”

Scarlett is praised for body confident swimsuit snaps

Scarlett took to Instagram to encourage fans to "be kind", which was accompanied by a video of her flaunting her physique in a green swimsuit.

She wrote alongside the clip to her two million followers: "BE KIND not just to others but to yourself! This is my body my boobs my belly my legs.

"If you are like me & have ever criticised your body or missed out like not gone on a night out or to a beach or pool or cancelled an event because you felt like you looked too fat or too thin or too saggy or not perfect then STOP!"

She continued to urge her fans: "Lets be our own best friends and not stop living our best life just because we aren't a 'perfect aesthetic' life is far too short and life would be super boring if we were all the same! [sic]"

Scarlett ended her powerful post with the sentiment: "Remember every body is a beach body," alongside a red love heart emoji.
