Shoppers are raving about Home Bargains' serving board that is shaped like a sleigh

HOME Bargains is selling a serving board that is shaped like a sleigh for £5.99 – and shoppers can't get enough.

The bamboo serving board is a perfect serving platter for all sweet treats and savoury snacks.

The board is sat on top of a red sleigh frame, making it look like Father Christmas' favourite mode of transport.

The fun and quirky design means it's the perfect item for the centre of your table during the festive season.

Matalan sells a fancier version of the board with the words "Eat, Drink and be Merry" engraved on to it but it costs £12 – £6.01 more expensive than the one from Home Bargains.

It's not actually available to buy yet but it previously sold a cheaper version that cost less than Home Bargains' board at £5, but it has since sold out.

The sleigh board isn't available on Home Bargains' website, so your best bet is to look and see if it's for sale in your nearest store.

You can find out where yours is using the branch locator tool.

The festive centrepiece was discovered by an eagle-eyed shopper, who posted about it on the Extreme Couponing and Home Bargains UK Facebook group.

She wrote next to the images: "The one on the left is from Home Bargains for £5.99 the one on right is from Matalan for £12.00 at double the price.

"Admittedly it does appear to have some fancy engraving but once you put stuff on it to serve it will be covered anyway."

Her post proved popular as it received more than 1,000 likes and hundreds of comments from shoppers.

One mum commented: "[You] can make a special Christmas breakfast with one of these."

Another said: "We need this for cheese and biscuits!"

Home Bargains is introducing a new traffic light system to control the number of customers in branches.

The store's gingerbread candle is also back again this year.

And for kids who want to leave Father Christmas a present, Home Bargains has brought back its Christmas Eve box.
