Tyler Cameron is elated BFF Matt James is getting his own shot at love as “The Bachelor” amid Clare Crawley’s turbulent “Bachelorette” season.
Speaking recently to E! News, Cameron — a Bachelor Nation fan-favorite — spoke about James skipping Crawley’s season, after being cast as a contestant earlier this year.
“That boy dodged a bullet. That boy is on his own. Just cause it’s a mess. It’s just a disaster. You know what I mean?” Cameron said. “It’s nothing about Clare. It’s a mess, you know? Just to be able to jump and skip and be the ‘Bachelor,’ like who, I mean, of course, good for him. So I am very happy he’s not there.”
Crawley’s “Bachelorette” journey has been anything but typical. In March, production was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, later picking up in July at a luxurious resort in Palm Springs, California.
In August, reports surfaced Season 16 of “The Bachelorette” would feature two leading ladies, amid rumors Crawley, 39, had departed the show early after falling for one of her suitors.
Three episodes into Crawley’s TV journey and viewers have witnessed her romance with former NFL receiver Dale Moss blossom, much to the annoyance of other contenders.
As for James, he was cast as the franchise’s first black lead in June. His season is expected to air next year.
