And Pochettino will be boosted even further by the news that Romeo Lavia has completed his £58m switch from Southampton.

Meanwhile, West Ham are also set to debut two new signings in midfielders James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez.

David Moyes was growing frustrated by the lack of business in the transfer market – most recently highlighted by the collapse of the deal for Harry Maguire.

But now fresh faces are finally coming through the door in East London.

And it promises to be a hotly-contest London derby as both sides search for their first wins of the season.

Chelsea have won just one of their last six trips to West Ham – including a pair of thrilling 3-2 defeats.

At the London Stadium in February, Joao Felix's strike was cancelled out by Emerson Palmieri in a 1-1 draw.

But can the Hammers deny Pochettino his first win this weekend? Here is all you need to know ahead of the clash.

What is their form like?

Both sides kicked off their Premier League campaigns with home draws.

West Ham failed to hold onto the lead at the Vitality Stadium as they played out a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth.

Meanwhile, Chelsea pegged back Liverpool as they also drew 1-1 at Stamford Bridge.

What is the team news?

West Ham have no injury concerns coming into this one.

David Moyes also has two new faces to call upon in the shape of Ward-Prowse and Alvarez.

Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana, Christopher Nkunku and Trevoh Chalobah remained sidelined.

Reece James is also set to be out for some time after coming off with a hamstring injury in the draw with Liverpool.

Moises Caicedo will be available to make his Chelsea debut.

Who will be the star men?

Jarrod Bowen bagged a wonderful goal to break the deadlock against Bournemouth last Saturday.

The forward has bagged 31 goals across the last two campaigns and will already have one eye on breaking his season-record of 18.

For Chelsea, Enzo Fernandez produced a classy display against Liverpool last weekend.

The Blues midfielder played higher up the pitch as Conor Gallagher sat in front of the back four.

And the Argentine, 22, produced some superb passes to go with his high-intensity performance.

What have the managers said?

Moyes spoke about Lucas Paqueta's future after the draw with Bournemouth.

He said: "There's a price on everyone's head. We don't want Lucas to go, it's as simple as that.

"But sometimes it's difficult to say to these boys 'you can't join Manchester City or Real Madrid', the biggest clubs in the world."

Meanwhile, Pochettino has reflected on his first game in charge of the Blues following the draw with Liverpool.

He said: "We feel pleased but at the same time disappointed because we wanted to win and we deserved to win, but it is only the beginning.

"We have created a very good way to work here and that is important. The connection from day one has been fantastic."
