Organising a wedding isn't going to be simple and arguments are likely to break out.
But one bride has taken things too far by saying she won't go through with the wedding unless her partner shaves his beard.
She told how her fiancé has been growing his facial hair since March and she prefers for him to be "clean face" for the big day.
Posting on Reddit in the Am I The A**hole thread, she said: "I've been with my fiancé for over three years.
"We have been engaged for one of those years. Our wedding is set for September 6.
"My fiancé has been growing a beard ever since like March or so.
"I haven't thought anything of it since I've seen him with a beard plenty of times before."
She revealed how since she's known him it's been about 50/50 between him clean shaven and having a beard.
But when she jokingly asked if the beard would go for the big day, her partner wasn't happy.
The bride added: "He said 'Um I was going to leave my beard for the wedding'.
"I gave him a pretty gross look and said 'no you are not. That is not acceptable. I will not have that'.
"He got mad that I was telling him what to do and said that I can't tell him what to do with his grooming preferences."

The bride told her fiancé that she has a right since it's her wedding and she's marrying him.
After that conversation, there was a lot of back and forth, then things got a bit heated.
She went on: "I said that I would cancel our wedding if he doesn't shave.
"He didn't budge. He ended up getting really mad by that comment and left shortly after."
In the post, the bride later revealed how she hasn't spoken much to her partner since the tiff.

Since she shared her dilemma on Reddit, it's safe to say that many users took her husband-to-be's side.
When the bride asked if she was in the wrong, one replied: "Short answer yes. Talk about over entitled. Wow."
Another added: "It's his wedding too you know. You don't stand there on your own.
"If you don't think your photos will be classy enough with his beard, then why are you marrying him? Yes, you are the a**hole."
A third labelled the incident as "outrageous", adding: "He should run away from you as fast as he can. This marriage will not last."
