Below Deck has become one of the most popular reality TV shows in recent years, and fans are currently still glued to the Mediterranean spin-off’s sixth season. A former stewardess from the Bravo show’s flagship series has confirmed she was helped by a hidden crew member during her voyage aboard the MY Sienna.
Caroline Bedol has revealed the Below Deck series employed a fourth stewardess who didn’t appear on camera during her time on the successful reality show.
The former third stewardess starred during the sixth season with fellow stews Kate Chastain and Josiah Carter.
She recently provided some more insight into the series during a Reddit thread discussing the layout of each charter.
After one fan proposed the team could use a fourth stew to help out, Bedol replied that this actually was the case.
“A fourth stew comes onboard between charters and does a huge chunk of the work,” she explained. “We literally never scrub a toilet.”
She went on to reveal their cleaning duties were relatively minimal compared to the job of the secret stew.
Bedol continued: “The only thing we do in the guest cabins is arrange the shampoo and soap. The master cabin we do the linens.
“I wish that stew got the credit she deserves!! The girl in Tahiti was amazing!”
Unfortunately, the name of the show’s behind-the-scenes stewardess is still unknown.
The Below Deck star went on to describe some of her other duties in an additional comment.
“We clean up the cabins and heads on charter, of course,” she said, “and wipe down surfaces, but the day worker does the major cleaning!
“Big parties thrown on land, like you saw in Tahiti, with dancers and musicians… Those arrangements are not actually made by the chief stew, but someone with production.”

“The chief stew is meant to act like she is organising it, however.”
Although Kate Chastain was touted as the head of operations during the sixth season, much of the planning is actually handled off-screen.
Chastain was eventually replaced by Francesca Rubi for season eight, though fans have since called for the Below Deck favourite to make a return.
Speaking with Us Weekly, she recently admitted: “It would take a lot of money.”
The star explained she would take inspiration from Chef Ben Robinson’s sporadic appearances throughout the series if she ever did come back.
She said: “There was a couple of seasons where he would come in as the save the day guy for, like, one, maybe two [episodes]. That’s the only way I would ever consider it.”
Meanwhile, Caroline Bedol has confessed she isn’t watching the current season of Below Deck Mediterranean, but she does keep up with all the drama on the show’s subreddit.
Below Deck seasons 1-8 are available to stream on Bravo.
