Britains Got Talent viewers left in horror as member of staff is set on fire

Britain's Got Talent judges and audience members were left terrified as a member of crew appeared to be caught on fire.

Viewers watching from the audience was left with jaws wide open as they questioned whether the situation was "real".

The member of staff was engulfed in flames and needed to follow the stop, drop and roll procedure.

As he began to frantically roll about on stage, aid ran to his rescue with a fire extinguisher.

The team flapped around ensuring that all of the flames were out.

Simon Cowell even appeared to be shellshocked as he placed his hands over his face.

Judge Amanda Holden was left flabbergasted as she screamed with fear while her co-star Alesha Dixon asked: "What happened?"

Fans in the audience were just as confused as they turned to each other questioning: "Was that real?"

Daily Star has contacted ITV for comment.

It's unknown if the scenario was part of the act or not as it was never disclosed during the quick segment.
