AFTER quitting the police force, Craig Tinker resorted to getting a job at Underworld.
Next week in Coronation Street, however, the character will be leaving the factory in an unexpected twist.
Craig (portrayed by Colson Smith) is quitting his job in upcoming scenes of the ITV soap.
Corrie fans may remember that Craig became a packer in the famous factory, where his mother Beth (and formerly his sister Sinead) works as a machinist.
But there's another change of plans for him.
Coming up, as he has decided to backtrack and return to the police force, Craig is thrilled to receive an email confirming that he can reprise the position of police constable.

Craig seemingly gave up his career in the police and became a packer, much to his mother Beth's shock.
Little did she know that Craig felt obligated to return his badge, when his girlfriend Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) confessed she had been involved in the death of frail pensioner Ted Spear.
The latter died from a blood clot which developed after he was run over by Faye and Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell), after a New Year's Eve party.
The truth slowly caught up with both characters and, while feeling the pressure piling up on her as she's desperate to avoid spending time in prison again, Faye came clean to Craig.

Craig has been getting his ducks in a row in order to get back to the police force.
As if this wasn't enough, both Faye and Craig have also been worried about Emma's budding connection with Ted's grandson Jon.

Yet Craig and Faye are less than convinced by her act and are suspicious she's hiding something from them.
Actress Alexandra Mardell is also set to exit the cobbles while Ellie Leach has signed a new contract to remain in the show.
