Coronation Street's Rebecca Ryan is 'back to square one' with wedding plans with 'no date and venue' after Covid

CORONATION Street star Rebecca Ryan has revealed her wedding plans are in tatters after Covid put paid to her big day.

The actress, 30, who plays Lydia Chambers in the ITV soap, took to instagram to tell her followers that she has no idea when or where she will wed.

"2nd time trying to plan my wedding!" she wrote on a selfie of her looking fed up. "The first one was cancelled due to covid so we are back to square 1!

Rebecca continued: "No date, no venue and still wanting to get married this year. I wish I was an organised person."

She followed the caption with a crying face emoji.

Rebecca has been with her fiancé, British Airways pilot Dan Acraman"for a long, long time," and recently told Lorraine Kelly that she still "hopes" the pair will make it down the aisle this year.

The brunette said during an appearance on Lorraine's daytime show: "We were supposed to get married two years ago, but covid hit, so we're back to square one now really – looking for a venue because we couldn't change the date.

"I'm hoping – we're hoping to still get married this year, but we haven't planned anything so I need to see how it goes and get on it really."

Dan popped the question to Rebecca in the summer of 2018 and Rebecca excitedly shared the news on her Instagram with the caption: "I said YES #nomorehints #ivejuststoppedcrying"

Rebecca has played villainous Lydia since December 2021 and viewers have been hooked watching the baddie trying to take down Adam Barlow.

For weeks, Adam (played by actor Sam Robertson) has been the target of a horrifying hate campaign instigated by twisted Lydia.

With fraudulent receipts and fake messages, the Underworld PA has managed to convince Adam's wife Sarah (Tina O'Brien) they were having an affair.

This has led to Adam losing everything and next week will see a brutal confrontation between the solicitor and Lydia.

Prior to joining Corrie, Rebecca has starred in Waterloo Road, Casualty and Shameless.
