ELAINE Thorpe moved into The Queen Vic as the pub's new co-owner and her other half soon joined her.
Tonight in EastEnders, George Knight shocks everyone by popping the question. But what will Elaine say?
Linda Carter (portrayed by Kellie Bright) sold Mick's half of the Vic to her mother Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) and the new landlady made a thunderous return to Walford.
In allowing her mother to get hold of half of the pub, Linda ruined her friendship with Sharon Watts and made an enemy out of Nish Panesar.
The pair had been keen to get their hands on the Vic but had to give up on expanding their respective empires when Elaine rocked up the Square.
But Linda had no clue Elaine was planning to welcome George (Colin Salmon) and his two daughters in the pub with her.
