Friends star Matthew Perry rocks Chandler Bing shirt for charity

Matthew Perry has channelled his inner Chandler Bing to rock an iconic Friends T-shirt – and it’s all for a good cause.

The actor is releasing a limited edition apparel line for charity, all themed around the beloved 90s comedy, and who better to model it than Chandler himself?

The 51-year-old looked deep in concentration as he held a banana up to his face like a phone, while rocking a shirt emblazoned with three of the character’s signature dancing poses.

Underneath, of course, is an adapted version of his catchphrase: ‘Could this BE any more of a T-shirt?’

Matthew wrote in the caption: ‘What is this, a limited edition t-shirt for charity?

‘For two weeks only, I’m releasing an apparel collection! Proceeds will support the World Health Organization’s COVID 19 relief efforts. Link in bio. Banana not included.’

The star, who recently got engaged to his partner Molly Hurwitz, has definitely been giving fans their Friends fix, after he also confirmed the reunion date.

The highly-anticipated special episode, which is set to see Matt reunite with his co-stars Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller) and Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), has faced constant delays due to the pandemic.

However, Matthew spilled that we might not have to wait too much longer, telling his Twitter followers: ‘Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March.

‘Looks like we have a busy year coming up. And that’s the way I like it!’

The HBO Max special was announced earlier this year but was delayed just weeks later due to the coronavirus pandemic meaning the Central Perk gang weren’t able to film.

In June, Friends co-creator Martha Kauffman revealed the cast and crew are hopeful the special could be recorded in August as restrictions eased in the US. She told The Wrap: ‘We are hoping to be able to shoot in August if all is well and there is no early second wave and the studio is open.

‘If everything is in place and we understand all the protocols and we can still make a good show, we’ll be shooting it some time, mid-to-late August.’

Could we BE any more excited?

Friends is available to stream on Netflix.
