Gregg Wallace has revealed his recent weight loss was inspired by his wife and their one-year-old son.
The MasterChef star has shed a total of four stone so far, and undergone a complete diet and lifestyle change for his wife of four years, Anna, and their one-year-old son Sid.
Speaking to The Sun, Gregg admitted that it was ‘never too late’ to change yourself for the better.
‘I was going to be an old dad,’ he told the publication, ‘I didn’t want to be a fat dad too.
‘I’d already lost weight, [but] becoming a dad again kept me going.’
Gregg also shared a message of hope to people also looking to lose weight later in life, saying: ‘I was known as the fat, pudding-loving man on MasterChef but now I can inspire people by saying, “Look at me, it’s never too late.”‘
For many of us, though, lockdown has perhaps been a time to pause those workout routines and reach for the fridge door just a bit too often.
Gregg, though, has also spoken about how he’s continued to keep himself healthy during the lockdown by ‘making good choices’ in isolation.
In a snap shared on the gram, the 55-year-old could be seen flexing his muscles for the camera, opening up about his weightloss journey.
‘Just under 12 stone. Being at home 24/7 means good choices easier,’ he captioned the shot.
Now that’s some inspo if we ever saw it. We’re putting down the pasty now, thanks Gregg!
