Rick and Morty was first introduced to Adult Swim back in 2013 and has since grown a loyal following of fans who cannot get enough of the outrageous and often random cartoon. The show was brought to Netflix as well for fans worldwide to enjoy but for series four, it was given to E4 to air first instead. The latest series is currently being shown after taking a midseason hiatus.
Fans had to wait two years for the fourth season of Rick and Morty and were delighted when they heard it would be returning.
However, UK viewers were upset when they heard the original air date for series four for them would be January 2020.
But after receiving thousands of complaints, Channel 4 pushed the release date forward.
So the UK ended up receiving the new episodes just one week after the US.

Who created Rick and Morty?
Rick and Morty is the brainchild of both Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon.
The series originated from an animated short parody film of Back to the Future which had been created by Roiland for the short film festival Channel 101.
The festival itself was co-founded by Harmon and following the event, the pair worked together on turning Rick and Morty into a full-on series.
This isn’t the first project Harmon has worked on either which went on to become a success.
Harmon is both a writer and a performer and is well known for creating for NBC comedy series Community starring Donald Glover and Chevy Chase.
He also co-founded Channel 101, the non-profit monthly short film festival with Rob Schrab.
The original festival takes places in Los Angeles but has a sister festival in New York City called Channel 101 NY.
But the person behind the majority of the voices in the show is his co-creator Roiland.

Talking about his working relationship with Harmon, Roiland told Bubble Blabber: “We really complement each other very well. I’m overseeing the look and feel of the show.
“I direct actors and oversee radio plays. I’m in the writer’s room, but he’s the head writer.
“He’s a brilliant writer, too, he’s like Neo from the Matrix.
“I like breaking down a story and I come up with ideas for stuff like that, but what Dan does is he takes a script and elevates it to a meta-level.
“He pushes it to be as good as can be.”
Rick and Morty season 4 continues every Sunday on Adult Swim.
