Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) made a huge decision in Emmerdale tonight (January 8), as she left the eponymous village with Danny Harrington (Louis Healy).
Sarah has been struggling as of late, after Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) cheated on Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick).
Charity took to the booze after her relationship fell apart, which left the young girl feeling confused and alone — and Noah’s (Jack Downham) decision to join the army has only made matters worse.
With Danny back in the village, Sarah decided to have some fun, but she ultimately found herself under the microscope when she planted drugs on newcomer Ethan Anderson (Emile John).
Charity knew full well that Sarah was responsible for the criminal act, and thus a showdown ensued. However, Sarah refused to own up to the incident, and hid in her room.
Charity relayed her worries and concerns to Cain (Jeff Hordley), who decided that Debbie (Charley Webb) needs to be informed at once.
He set off to get in touch with Debbie — much to Charity’s dismay — which allowed Sarah ample opportunity to leave the village with Danny.
Have we seen the last of Sarah?
What’s more, how will Charity react when she discovers that her granddaughter has vanished?
Emmerdale continues Monday January 11 at 7pm on ITV.
