Ever since learning that Isaac Baptiste (Stevie Basula) was his son, Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) has struggled to keep a lid such information, and — in the coming EastEnders episodes — the truth comes out in an epic way, and Isaac is left speechless as a result.
Patrick has made multiple attempts to build a relationship with Issac, but doing so has been rather difficult given that the young man has no time for him.
Sheree (Suzette Lewellyn) has made clear that — under no circumstances — can Isaac find out that Patrick is his dad, given that the man he believed to be his father was his hero, and she doesn’t want to shatter the illusion.
Last week’s spoilers indicated that — after Patrick drops a hint about the truth —Isaac’s suspicions are raised, and he demands that Sheree tell him the truth.
What happens next has yet to be revealed, but — in the coming episodes — Isaac is reeling as he comes to realise that Patrick is his dad.
Meanwhile, Patrick opens up to Denise (Diane Parish) about what’s going on, and she’s quick to reassure him.
Later in the week, Denise gives Isaac some home truths — which leads to him agreeing to tutor Tommy.
The question is: what does this revelation mean for his relationship with Patrick?
Will he want to know?
Or will he refuse to build any sort of relationship with him?
One to watch: Monday 4 May at 8pm on BBC One.
