Leanne Battersby’s (Jane Danson) problems are far from over in Coronation Street. As she continues to deal with Oliver in hospital, little does she know Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) is coming to terms with the fact that he has a son after ex-partner Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) returned and confirmed his thoughts.
Soon, Leanne will finally discover the truth about Nick’s secret son, as he tells her the life changing news.
While Leanne watches Oliver, Nick listens to a message from Sam (Jude Riordan), inviting him to join them on a day out. Nick drops the bombshell to Gail (Helen Worth) that he’s discovered he has a son from his relationship with Natasha and he would love him to be a part of the family, but it would be too painful for Leanne.
Meanwhile, desperate Leanne vows to fight for her son, even if that means going to court. Gail advises Nick to be straight with Leanne and tell her about Sam but Nick’s adamant now is not the time and later arrives at the hospital with Tracy (Kate Ford) to find Steve (Simon Gregson) and Leanne talking about legal terms and spending thousands on a court case.
Gail is made up to meet her grandson for the first time as Nick promises Sam he’ll be there at lunchtime to watch him perform Space Oddity. But as Nick and Leanne attend a meeting with their new barrister and the meeting begins to overrun, Nick repeatedly checks his phone, which leaves Leanne unimpressed.
Leanne accuses him of being more interested in his phone than Oliver’s welfare and realising he has no choice; Nick reveals that the person he’s been texting is his son.
How will Leanne react to Nick having a son, while her own son lies in a hospital bed seriously unwell?
