Janette Manrara talks about Aljaz being excited to become a dad
Slovenian dancer Aljaž Škorjanec and Cuban choreographer Janette Manrara have recently returned from a babymoon together in scenic Slovenia.
Aljaž, 33, and Janette, 39, will appear on Tuesday’s instalment of Lorraine on ITV to discuss their pregnancy journey together.
During their trip to Aljaž’s homeland, the couple visited his family and even the dance school he attended while growing up.
The duo have been together for 12 years and have opened up about how they continue to unite through difficult times.
Janette shared: “There’s no recipe for a perfect marriage – ours is definitely not perfect, but I think communication as I said before is really important and also trust.
“We really trust one another, we really know we have each other’s backs and knowing that I can trust Aljaž with all my heart and soul and that he’s always going to be there for me and vice versa, I think is crucial.”
Reflecting on the entertainment industry, Janette added: “Especially in this industry of entertainment and media, when there’s lots of things constantly trying to pull you apart but for Aljaž and I, trust has always been there and I trust him with my heart and soul, and I think that’s very important for our relationship.”
“One secret is conversation and communication; you have to talk about work, family, friends, anything and everything as it’s the only way you can help one another and be each other’s rock,” Aljaž added.
“You can turn a bad day into something beautiful. Also, don’t read comments on social media!”

The couple found out Janette was pregnant in December just as they were about to start IVF treatment. Their little one is due this summer.
Janette also shared how she keeps her romance alive with her husband despite their busy schedules.
“Aljaž and I have been together for 12 years, and I think I fall in love with him a little bit more every year that passes,” she gushed.
“We try to keep the romance alive; we try to go on dates, we try to dress up nice for one another and I think the fact that we get to dance together also really helps, and we get to share that passion that we both have together it’s beautiful.”
She added: “We are best friends and we talk about everything and we have open and honest conversations about everything, and in a lot of ways just that in itself is romantic – that you have this connection with someone that you just don’t have with anyone else in the world.”
Lorraine airs on weekdays from 9am on ITV and ITVX.
