Although it is not known how much he earns from his work, he has since spoken out about net worth claims.

Various sources suggested he is worth £16million, but he revealed it was nowhere near that amount.

Because he is still working on improving the practice, he said he still owes money to the bank.

Viewers can gain some idea of how much he earns by looking at the price list on the Fitzpatrick referrals website.

There is an online document from 2019 for Orthopaedics and Neurology price listings that says an initial orthopaedic consultation is priced at £210.

A repeat consultation costs £115, which is slightly above the average cost quoted at other UK practices.

Still, clients are more than happy to deal with the cost as they know Noel’s work is always successful.

So he may not be on as much money as people expect, as he is always learning how to improve his practice.

On his website, he explained why he wanted to set the surgery up in the first place and said he needed to borrow money to get it up and running.

He said: “People come and they give you their trust, they give you their belief.

“They believe you are going to look after their animal as if this animal were your friend because to them it’s not an animal.

“To them, it’s a family member that represents all of their pain, all of their grief, all of their joy.

“Their divorce, the boss who has been nasty to them, the cancer that they have themselves are wrapped up in that moment.

“Where you truly have the opportunity to show them unconditional love and that is what I want to do every day.”

Fans were recently given insight into a personal trauma he experienced when his own dog, Keira, was hit by a car.

Noel featured in a special documentary where he performed surgery on his own beloved pet to save her life.

Fans were heartbroken to see the vet put his dog’s life in his own hands, but it was a job he was determined to take on himself.

Thankfully she made a recovery and is able to walk again following the life-changing ordeal.

In an update on Instagram, he said: “She bears some scars of her trauma but her tail still wags with excitement when I come back into the office after every surgery – and she finds the opportunity for love and cuddles everywhere.”

The Supervet airs on Thursdays on Channel 4.
