Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) has had a rough time of it in EastEnders lately, in the wake of evil Leo King (Tom Wells)’s death.
Having ended up behind bars after Leo died, during a physical struggle with Whitney, she finally secured bail and looked to be getting back to some semblance of normality – but this week gives everyone cause for concern when she disappears.
So just where has Whitney got to – and is she coming back?
Here’s what you need to know…
Where is Whitney in EastEnders?
It’s not completely clear where Whitney has got to this week, with her loved ones left convinced that perhaps she has fled town while waiting trial for Leo’s murder.
However, her disappearance might have something to do with the return of Leo’s mum Michaela (Fiona Allen) last week – and the fact she might be every bit as evil as her son.
After Michaela made a very public social media post about Whitney – which she found out about in spite of Sonia (Natalie Cassidy)’s attempt to hide it from her, she made plans to go on the run, only to be talked out of it by Max Branning (Jake Wood).

But having changed her mind – and disposed of the goodbye notes she had written – Whitney prepared to celebrate her decision, only for Michaela to appear behind her and put a knife to her throat.
With Whitney nowhere to be seen in Monday night’s episode, could Michaela have kidnapped her?
We’ll just have to keep watching to see what happens.
EastEnders continues on Monday night on BBC One at 8pm.
