THREE members of the same family have been stabbed in a horror attack after a "masked gang" reportedly stormed a flat in Salford.

Cops and emergency services scrambled to the scene on Velour Close, Manchester, after reports of a man and woman shouting for help.

The victims – a mother, father, and son – suffered knife wounds and were rushed to hospital.

Cops confirmed the father has since had surgery on a life-changing injury after "three men in balaclavas" descended on the property.

The mother and son have been discharged from hospital, according to the latest police reports.

During the incident an air ambulance landed near to the scene at around 2.30pm on Friday.
