According to the Guardian, the book details that Donald "suffered emotional abuse at the hands of his father."

In an excerpt from the book, Mary is said to have written that her grandmother suffered from serious health problems that left Donald and his siblings under their father's care from a young age.

Mary held nothing back calling Donald's father, Fred Trump, a "high-functioning sociopath."
